What is Heart disease ?
We will tell you the basic things that you need to know as a heart patient, about how the dieases occur, how the modern medicine treat it and how can taking healthy diet reverse the condition.
Understanding Heart Disease
How many people do you think die without warning from a cardiovascular event? A 1975 study found that 57% of sudden cardiac death victims among men had no history of coronary heart disease. Sudden cardiac death is when a seemingly healthy person collapses and dies within one hour, often much quicker. It often involves a heart rhythm problem, which isn’t the same as a heart attack, but these processes are often related. And how many of these sudden cardiac deaths occur annually? In the United States alone, the range is 300,000–400,000.
If you combine these statistics, you might estimate that roughly 150,000 Americans without any diagnosed heart disease will die each year from sudden cardiac death, a preventable disease.
Are you taking statins ?
Doctors often prescribe statins for people with high cholesterol to lower their total cholesterol and reduce their risk of a heart attack or stroke. They believe that having too much cholesterol in your blood increases your risk of heart attacks and strokes. Statins block the pathway of cholesterol synthesis in your body. So the body became unable to synthesize cholesterol through his own system. But cholesterol produced by us is important for function of brain, synthesis of androgenic hormones, synthesis of Vitamin D etc. Low cholesterol is responsible for memory loss and patient often face impotency. More than 50% of patients of heart disease have normal cholesterol and atleast half of the people with elevated cholesterol doesn’t not have any heart disease. Their is a player in cholesterol called LPA which can make difference but most of the physicians do not have much knowledge about it and aren’t even measuring it.
