For the filling

  • ½ cup coarsely cut mixture of nuts and raisins
  • ¼ cup desiccated coconut

For the roll

  • ½ cup dried figs
  • ½ cup dates
  • 1/8 cup walnuts,
  • 1/8 cup grated almonds and pistachios.

Method:

In a food processor, add walnuts  and make a coarse powder. Now add the dates, figs,  and blend till it all clumps together and forms a dough. Mix all the ingredients of the filing and keep aside. Knead the roll dough with hand and just add the filling mixture to it. Add grated almonds and pistachio to it.  Mix it well with you hand. Start rolling the dough and form a log. Cover with butter paper and refrigerate for 6-8 hrs or preferably overnight. Cut into discs and serve. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Makes about 20 discs
