Amchur/Dates Chutney

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 20 dates
  • water
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • a pinch of clove powder

Method

Boil dates in 200 ml water, till most of the water evaporates. Add all the other ingredients. Mix well and adjust sweetness, or other flavors, as required. Cool completely. You can blend the chutney before storing it in an airtight container. Refrigerate and use as a relish or chutney.
